Our Purpose
Integrated Myoskeletal Therapy (IMT) has been formed in order to relieve pain, prevent falls, and improve quality of life. We want to help you along your journey by helping you out of the pain cycle, improve your balance and stability, regain strength, and eventually enjoy the gifts that this life has to offer us again. IMT combines massage therapy with fitness coaching and takes a holistic approach to identify the weak links in the chain that are inhibiting your true potential.
Our Story
My journey as a personal trainer and fitness coach began in 1999. I trained clients full-time at a gym for seven years. During those years, I desired to learn more about the human body and how it functions. This led me to massage therapy school. I found that massage therapy and fitness training compliment each other extremely well.
In 2005, I graduated with honors from Texas Massage Institute in Plano, TX. My clientele was mostly athletes and gym members, and I quickly gravitated towards orthopedic style deep tissue massage.
Shortly after, I managed a small neighborhood gym and later opened up a fitness studio. Several years later, my dad had a fall that resulted in a head injury and several years of medical attention. During those years, my dad’s health continued to deteriorate, and I spent many days with him at the hospital.
Eventually, the stress and sleep deprivation began to set in. I knew that keeping the gym going was not going to be sustainable for my health. It was around that time that I had my first float. I knew right away that flotation therapy was something that could benefit not only myself but so many others. I decided to sell the gym to open a flotation and massage therapy spa.
My mom’s mental and physical health suffered also while trying to be my dad’s caregiver. My dad eventually decided to go through hospice at the house after learning that his organs were failing and that there wasn’t anything that the doctors could do to help. A year and a half later, my mom passed. Although it was a very tough time, I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to spend those years with my parents.

I decided to take a few years off from fitness coaching and bodywork to grieve the death of my parents and rediscover my purpose in life. While going through my parent’s belongings, I found my dad’s Nikonos V underwater camera. It brought back so many great memories and reignited my desire to go scuba diving again. It was something I truly loved!
My dad and I got our Open Water and Advanced Open Water scuba certifications when I was twelve years old. Since I had been building businesses, vacation didn’t really exist for many years. It had been twelve and a half years since my last dive. I decided to go through a Reactivation course to review the things that I had learned years ago.
I took his camera with me on my first few dives getting started back. Unfortunately, the lens flooded. I knew that I wanted to continue taking pictures and videos of the magnificent world underwater. I bought a digital camera and have been obsessed ever since. I love getting to share my experiences. If you have any interest in viewing my pictures, you can check them out in the link below.
I continued to take courses in fitness and massage, completing my Master Myoskeletal Therapist through The Freedom from Pain Institute, among others. I feel like I have been led back into this work after taking time for my own healing. I also feel like fitness training and massage therapy are my gifts and something that I desire to share in order to serve others. It is my hope that I am able to help you or someone you know with the knowledge that I have acquired over the years.
